After turn ten, my fourth!
Took forever, but here it is. Nothing really huge this year, just a lot of engraving and storeroom digging with a few bits of mad science.
( 111 Early Spring → 112 Early Spring )
Here lies Sodel Steelcrafts the Greater Cyclone, a spear champion who served in The Sacks of Touching. He died 19th Moonstone, 110, with forty-two notable kills and twenty-four other kills.
He died bravely, facing an entire orc siege single-handedly. He doubtlessly would have disposed of the siege, but unfortunately charged towards them at the exact moment the lever was pulled to raise the drawbridge, and took an unexpected magma bath.
There is a sacrificial pit in front of his coffin containing a masterwork bismuth bronze spear (Sodel's preferred weapon) decorated with steel and turtle shell, his favorite materials. We will henceforth throw captured invaders into the pit to be speared, and count them posthumously towards the brave deeds of Sodel Delerrig̣th Rirastholest in defending the fortress. - Kanddak

That's the smallest "mountain" I've seen. And it's got all the goodies as well. Also, you know you're going to have to do the fort name some justice with that bottomless pit there, don't you? ;)

Yeah, I'm playing it as a succession with my brother and a friend.
The first time we tried to embark, the wagon started right next to the chasm amidst a swarm of batmen. All dwarves were drafted to fight them; three tackled batmen and pulled them down into the chasm, and the others went insane shortly afterwards.
That was also one region tile to the east, where it caught the corner of a giant cave which made this a 6x9 site. This was vetoed for reasons of potential FPS problems, despite the awesomeness of the cave.

The "Magma" PoI in 110 is a really cool view.

Love the giant lava bucket, you must struggle with FPS issues when all those pumps are running :O
