Filledtattoo - 224 Late Summer by miko

Map Description:

Three years later. Almost 20000 blocks are constructed by now, and the mega project within the mega project has been started. A titan made a visit, killing two (sleeping...), but some construction accident with 5 guys falling some 10 levels and bursting into bits outranks this lousy mega beast. More POIs, yay~.

Did you base the cathederal on any design, or just your gut instincts for a place of worship? I bet even the humans would be impressed...

Actually, yea, cathedrals look quite alike, but this one was inspired by the one I see every day.

And because I ran out of z-levels fairly fast... the west tower was not completed as seen below. ;)

Δ 89. Cathedral to Armok
To show their faith in the blood god, or some giant toad, the humans started to build a magnificent cathedral. After three years, only the front with the main... tower has been finished so far, but that is actually the highest and most impressing part.
It looks nice at this front layer, and the size comparison to one of the 4 story houses to the left is... funny.
Also, with this, a nice shot of the town with construction site is possible. (see image)

19. Mountain Slice

I started to "mine" for stone in a very human manner. But the quarry run dry faster than expected... constructions eat up lots of stone blocks. Really needs some clay -> bricks analogous to the infinite glass blocks, but yeah, there is also the underground.

So, two map edge slices are left in the east and north east. - miko
15. Heavy industry

( 221 to onwards )
Forges and furnaces are located here. Being charcoal powered, not so much ever happens there.

At some point, [SOIL_SAND] was added (to the raws) to create some glass for windows. So also a glass furnace exists from some point on. - miko
15. Inn

Kitchen, still and royal dining room. Preventing tantrum spiral since 214. - miko
15. Masons Guild

( 221 Late Summer to onwards )
Workshops for everyone. Usually set to some maximum skill, so that every peasant and unwanted job immigrant becomes a mason sooner or later. That usually yields lots of artifact furniture (which are turned off this thyme).
Tons of stones have already been made into blocks here, and the number is still rising with every new construction. - miko
Δ 15. Titan Blood
A visiting giant flashing T "sneaked" trough the gate, because the stationed squad was doing something more important than actually guarding the gate. Before the other guards reached the abandoned gate, the titan found two guys sleeping in their rooms, killed them almost instantly, and a third inhabitant could just hold him off until he was finally taken care of. Ah, the two gate dogs were also killed instantly. Stupid guards. - miko
15. Town centre

Just for centering the map. Has a meeting area, tends to be *CLT* with Us. Also statues for good measure. Blocks for the never ending stone consuming constructions are stored on the roads. For now. - miko
15. Town hall

( 221 to onwards )
Trade depot and sparing barracks at the ground level. On the first floor is the armory, on the second the meeting hall and the private quarters for the "major". Being a human group that position is still the expedition leader. - miko
