Just a little something I cooked up to play with a design for a fuck-the-world device. In a complete system, the whole sky would be covered with pods full of magma, each of which could be collapsed via lever. This would crush anyone directly beneath the collapse, and knock anyone nearby unconscious, allowing them to be engulfed by the magma contained in the pods.
Then I realized that I had just built a system that let me pump magma wherever I wanted it at a high altitude, and that made the pod collapses kind of superfluous.
Used to fill the magma pods. Just putting two pull orders on a given lever is enough to fill a pod; allowing the pump to run any longer than that causes magma to rain down onto unsuspecting innocents below.
To the west, an unfinished wing illustrates the construction process. - Kanddak
