Just a little something I cooked up to play with a design for a fuck-the-world device. In a complete system, the whole sky would be covered with pods full of magma, each of which could be collapsed via lever. This would crush anyone directly beneath the collapse, and knock anyone nearby unconscious, allowing them to be engulfed by the magma contained in the pods.
Then I realized that I had just built a system that let me pump magma wherever I wanted it at a high altitude, and that made the pod collapses kind of superfluous.
This is the main floor that provides dwarven access to construct the magma pods. On the above levels, the lower-right six pods are complete and ready to drop. The six above those show the various stages of construction for each pod; the bottom-right one of those is complete and ready to be filled with magma from the faucets higher up.
To the west, another wing has been built but not loaded with pods. - Kanddak
