Filledtattoo - 221 Late Summer by miko

Map Description:

Human site. Only U!

Some mega project, how human cities could look like. Features lots and lots of constructions and Us.

Currently: 13500 blocks used, mostly chalk (white) for houses and a bauxite/kaolinite mix (red blood for the blood god) for the walls, colored with the blood of our enemies. The age is 7.

Point of Interest: Mountain Slice

( 221 Late Summer → onwards )

I started to "mine" for stone in a very human manner. But the quarry run dry faster than expected... constructions eat up lots of stone blocks. Really needs some clay -> bricks analogous to the infinite glass blocks, but yeah, there is also the underground.

So, two map edge slices are left in the east and north east. - miko

The HTML5 map viewer is currently in Alpha mode - I'm actively trying to develop new functionality.

There should be many very obvious problems with the viewer; please check the Issues page to notify or comment on the most egregious problems to help me prioritise. The most common will be Loading... with an error in the browser developer tools console. e.g. RangeError: Offset is outside the bounds of the DataView. Feel free to report a problem with a link to the problematic map or point of interest.

I praise you for this beauty of a fortress. Rarely do you get to see something like this come to fruition.

Just... wow. *favourited*.

Did you base the cathederal on any design, or just your gut instincts for a place of worship? I bet even the humans would be impressed...

Actually, yea, cathedrals look quite alike, but this one was inspired by the one I see every day.

And because I ran out of z-levels fairly fast... the west tower was not completed as seen below. ;)

You can download the compressed map file: 2009-04/miko-Filledtattoo-human-221-20089.fdf-map but you will need the .NET version of SL's DF Map Compressor to convert to the .PNG image format.
