Roofdwelling - 239 Early Summer by Marko

Map Description:

Roofdwelling, almost 30 years in. And Construction is nearly finished. I finished a redesign of the stadium, to make it look more stadium-ish. Now have space on the second level for some concession stands, and the third level has a ring of statues surround the fortress. Also filled up the last green patch with an epic pillar of obsidian that stretches from the bottom level to the top most level, etched with engravings to record our history.

Last things to do:
finish up redesigning the stadium (I'm thinking of making it domes, or at least partially covered so I can line the stands with chairs) also I am thinking of making the Duke's palace a little less flat...

Point of Interest: The Obsidian Monolith

( 239 Early Summer → onwards )

This giant obsidian Monolith stretches 32 levels from the very bottom floor all the way to the top most peak we could build. It's exact dimensions are 20x10x32, and etched within is the history of Roofdwelling. There's also a few designs carved out of the interior of the Monolith as well, you can take a look at each floor in top-down view to see. Unlike the other buildings in Roofdwelling, this one was actually forged out of magma and water to create obsidian, which could then be engraved. It was a serious pain in the arse to get it all pumped over there, so you better appreciate it! :P - Marko

My good sir, I could not help but to notice you do not have in your possession, an arena.
This is most unfortunate as in my humble opinion, no bastion of dwarven might is truly ever complete without said arena.
If you desire, I would be most honored to assist you in this issue by providing plans for a true Colosseum, so great that it will cast a shadow on any and every might that dare challenge your dwarven superiority!

So send me a pm on the forums.

Why do you have so many engineers? Am I missing something?

Fear not! An arena is in the plans! Eventually... Roofdwelling wasn't built in a day you know! As for so many engineers, my dwarfs go through a rigorous pump operating regiment to keep them fit and nimble, so many are legendary pump operators, which makes 'em look like engineers.

About the last patch of grass...
I'd think the answer is quite obvious but I'll give you a hint.

This is the greatest fortress I have ever seen. You have got to have had this thing planned out far in advance even by 217 Summer.
