When searching for a site I was careful to select an area with high rainfall to ensure I'd have plenty of trees. This area seems to have nearly the maximum possible amount of precipitation; rain is nearly continuous, with only the occasional pause for a minute or so.
As a result, my moat is filling up without any action on my part, due to the fact that it runs through a few ponds. It's not a huge problem, as the design I have in mind will eventually include bridges that cover the moat so I'll have control over the water level at that point.
I nicked the corner of this pond but at first didn't think anything of it, based on my experience with the first attempt at Wadedcastles where ponds drained without fuss. The rainfall in this area is so high that a breached pond becomes a major water source, so I was forced to plug this hole. - FunkyWaltDogg
