My second fortress. Started in 201. The castle is mainly made out of marble.

I must say, this is a nice-lookin' castle. The moat just works well, and looks like it wasn't dug out.
Unless it wasn't. Then DF has map feature new to me.

This is a very Dwarfy setup, and an impressive effort for your second-ever fort! I'm surprised you were able to master the game well enough to survive being at war with another major race, but it looks like you're doing well. Love the long curved wall and the natural-looking moat.

I love that you have Dead elves outside.

@Duke. Thanks. I tried to settle where I could make the most natural-looking moat. I'm pretty pleased with the results.
@Jurph. I was surprised as well! I thought I was done for when the first elves ambushed my fortress. This was back when I only had 7 dwarfs, so I only had my woodcutter and 6 dogs to defend myself. Thankfully the elves didn't have any armor, and were only armed with wooden weapons, so I was able to fend them off with no dwarven casualties. I lost most of my dogs though and my only cat, so my castle was suffering from vermin in the first years.
@Phazer. I have enough elf-bone bolts to last a century now ;)
