Angelbane - 236 Late Spring by ClsfdKidd

Map Description:

Well, got the tombs dug, got lot's more smoothed, and my dwarves are starting to barf in the sun, so I need to make an outside statue garden for them.

Point of Interest: Elf Engravings

I tested out what engraving will look like with this tileset, and I was surprised to see what they thought were notable historical events.

Apparently, lots of elves ran into goblins and got hacked to bits. This is something that escaped my attention. I have no idea when that happened.

Also, a batman ate a kobold. Which is infinitely awesome. - ClsfdKidd

Good luck! You should add some points of interest to let us know what your forts up to.

Tombs, you mean, TREE FARM?
Are you going to seal the hoard with magma?

Well, I know for sure that I need a tree farm. The Giant Bat incident really was a kick in the seat. I'm thinking that I'll make some sort of indoor room with the natural waterfall in the center, then maybe use pumps to make a really big, curvy, natural-looking cavern and irrigate the tower-caps into it. Some fishing spots would be nice, too.

As far as sealing the hoard with magma, WHOA Markavian, that's an awesome idea. That's makin' my brain go 'round. I'll have to think on all the engineering aspects for a bit. I certainly don't want to burn my artifacts, cause THAT would suck.

A GCS killed by a kobold? HAHAHAHAHA.

WELL! My GCS is precious to me. I may never get another one even after years of playing DF. So I just want to be careful.

BTW, does this mean I could basically let him roam free killing critters and spewing silk? Cause if he's not gonna die, I might do that.

Love the layout, especially the tendency to avoid square or ugly rectangular rooms.

I love the tileset you're using. It's very squiggly.

Nice. I like the way all the bedrooms are "lighted" via fortifications.

You can download the compressed map file: 2009-03/clsfdkidd-Angelbane-region1-236-7553.fdf-map but you will need the .NET version of SL's DF Map Compressor to convert to the .PNG image format.
