• Δ 19. Power Plant
  The power plant is built right against the waterfall where the cave river begins, seeping in through the ceiling and running through the mountian. Grates have been added to the waterfall, allowing water to flow, but reducing the chanced of engineers slipping and falling in, while the water wheel platform has been constructed right over the river, in order the minimized the impact on the river's fish population. The engineers say it produces about 50 hammer-swing's more power then we need, so there is some room to add more power should we need it, and we can always add windmills to augment our power. - Razin
• Δ 16. Expanded Tombs
  We have improved our burial grounds since your last visit, expanding the common graves, and building a few specific tombs. The large, connected chambers near the front shall be the burial grounds for dwarves of great standing and great acheivment, though not of noble birth.
  
  The smaller tomb beyond that is dedicated to our brave warriors. Centered in their tomb is a platinum statue dedicated in their honor. The acloves are for any warrior who dies, but the central place of honor by the statue is reserved for the Matriarch and the Patriarch, the married couple who are our first and greatest warriors, and the official leaders of our guardians. - Razin
• 15. Warrior's Memorial

  ( 77 Early Spring to onwards )
  You may have noticed a group of statues on your way in, depending which path you took through the forest. Oh, you missed it? Well, had you come from the north-west, you would have seen these statues. This marks the first battle to take place on our new home. In Mid-Autumn of last year (76), the caravan from the mountianhome was ambushed by the filthy Green Menace, you may have heard about it back in the city.
  
  Be the time our lookouts spotted it, the trio of goblin bowmen and a horde of wrestlers had butchered most of the civilians. The brave caravan hammerdwarves managed to break the cowards' resolve and forced a rout, though the few that survived were mortally wounded. By the time we got there, there was but one surviving dwarf, and his mule. It took a while to get the story from him, as he had gone quite mad. Our would-be rescuers ended up being witnesses to his wedding (to his mule, who also seemed to have lost it's mind).
  
  After salvaging what we could (we desperately needed the animals and supplies we had ordered from them the year before), we decided something should be done to honor the brave soldiers who drove the goblins away from our home. These statues were commissioned to do just that. Admittedly, they're rather plain, as our mason was still learning his trade. Though if he asks, tell him it does indeed look like three armored dwarves killing a green goblin. He's a rather sensitive lad. - Razin

• ¶ 15. The Obsidian Maker and the Colossus.
  See all that steam comingout of the mold? That's right my freind, our obsidian factory is active! We just gave it it's madien run just moments ago. Once the water clears and the stone cools, our miners will extract the precious material. Oddly enough, a tree that had been growing in the mold suddenly sprouted, and has, as far as we can see from above, not been effected by being encased in stone, magma, and steam.
  
  Remember last year, how we decided to sacrifice that prisoner when we ran this for the first time? Well, this year we've fended off no less then 4 major attacks. We endend up sacrificing 5 goblins instead of just the one. We hope that this shall become something of a tradition, as them clinging to theyopsof their cages as they melted into the lava was quite amusing. Oh, and...uh..religious of course.
  
  While we're in the Courtyard, you'll also notice the new armory being built next to the gatehouse, which we're using to sort good armors produced here from the blood covered scrap we pull off the invaders. Also pleasing is the moving of the forges inside, now that the forges are fueled, the dismantaling of several temporary shops, and the complete covering of the stagnant ponds.
  
  Listen closely. This is the most important thing I will ever say to you. Do not go near the animal cages. Do. Not. One of the attacks on our city this year was a Bronze Colossus. Yes, it seems some do still exist. We're doing our best to avoid provoking it until we get a suitable prison built, as we're not quite sure the cage it's in could hold it if it got angry again... - Razin
