Killerlobsters - 335 Early Spring by chuzzum

Point of Interest: Preparing to breach the pits

RAWR! This is moments after the pits are opened and the demons come pouring out. Unfortunately, right after this picture was taken, my (only) legendary siege engineer decided to go grab a bite to eat and missed the whole battle. As a result, most of my 50 marksdwarves died, and those who didn't went insane at the death of their friends. Fortunately, I only lost about 5 champions. - chuzzum

Not only do I like the layout of both the fortress proper and the temporary fortress, it gives me an idea. All that empty space in the entrance cave? Imagine that a pit. There would be an underground tower that leads to the fortress proper in the bedrock.
I must try this. Now.

You should mine out around the adamantine, just to get an idea about the layout.

Do you only see a blank space?

You can download the compressed map file: 2009-03/chuzzum-Killerlobsters-region10-335-1598.fdf-map but you will need the .NET version of SL's DF Map Compressor to convert to the .PNG image format.
