Ahh, what a year... migrants and births have brought the population up to 101. Two babies drowned in the Pond of Thrift, the recovery of their bodies is well underway. The pond is being cleaned up and expanded to hopefully make it safer.
The demand for obsidian has gone through the roof, for roofing, a new floor is being built out across the mountain for workshops, and rather then dig at random through the mountain a magma sewer has been created to drop lava down to an obsidian pond by the river. Water will be pumped out of the Pond of Thrift and used to cool the magma into obsidian. First time I've tried this. Might work.
A few more towers have been planned, and the noble quarters are set pretty incase any more decide to turn up. Food production is a little sloppy at the moment but the meat and cheese from traders has mixed well to create some fine dishes to sell back to them. I hope they like year old ingredients in their stews, I guess the Dwarven Wine keeps it fresh.
Its the obvious thing to do. - Markavian
