30th Anniversary of Orbinches.
I just want to get this finished before the next version comes out.
Silver coffins for the nobility/champions of the fort. I still need to make the compass points tombs for the higher nobility. - Genuine

You can download the compressed map file:

but you will need the .NET version of
SL's DF Map Compressor
to convert to the .PNG image format.

That's so cool. All of it. I love circular rooms, I always try to put them into my forts (except the recent ones). You've taken it to the next level! Some vast patterns you've got there.

My God. It's....full of stars.

I have only this to say: Speed Kills
(Seriously, this is by far one of the best fortresses I've ever seen and I look at all of them)

It just keeps looking better and better... I get this reminder of the Legend of Zelda the way you've named the different temples... and I can imagine that very small feeling as you walk into those immensely sized rooms. Fantastic work.

Bagpuss, "Where, where?!"
There's even an awesome road pattern to boot.
Genuine, now that Point of Interest sharing is in, can you share the rest of the room descriptions from your earlier entries across the newer maps?

Did you use granite.exe for the circle of silver and circle of bronze?
It seems impossible to get so many clean tiles :o
(amazing! by the way)

You know, bridges are not counted when checking for collapses.
So it's actually possible to remove all the supports in that dragon mural.

PresidentEvil, I've not heard that before... would you want to try removing all supports in a 7x7 area with a single tile bridge in place? I understand it over the cave river, but not elsewhere in the fort.

I. Am. In. Awe. The skill, imagination, and patience needed to make this Artifact-quality fort is mind-boggling. What's your created wealth? How many legendary miners did you train?

Oh hey, comments. I've been working on a new fort design and haven't checked on this one in quite a while, so I wasn't aware there were questions.
First off, no tools were used creating the fort (aside from Photoshop so I could plan out the dragon). Other than that, I have not used Granite.exe or anything else in its construction.
Second, the fort only utilizes about 4 legendary miners, though almost every single regular dwarf except for 1 or 2 are legendary. Also, created wealth is very low because I have not double engraved large swaths of the cavern, and am avoiding creating too many objects to keep hauling down so the game keeps up at a moderate pace. Overall, I think the wealth is at only ~6 million or so.
Finally, my own personal opinion of the fort is that it suffers from some severe problems. No immigration coupled with thousands of pieces of useless goblin equipment are slowing the fort's progress to almost nil. New designs should address these mistakes and problems.
Oh, and bridges ARE counted when checking for collapses. I've had the inner bridges that cross the chasm collapse on me when removing the wall around them.

Do you plan to make an Orbinches in 3D?
That would be incredible.

Savok, there are so many forts that would look awesome in 3D... but this perhaps is definitely a fort that would excel in the third dimension. O.o Its just so vast.

Now a silly question. What are the things you used to do the mural? They're not floors... I wonder if it is something that isn't in the 3d version but if it is... what are they?

Bridges, my good sir. That's how flooring was done before actual constructed floors were put in place.
