Cagemerchant - 14 Mid Spring by Noble Digger

Map Description:

The fortress continues clunking along. I save scummed after a miner penetrated the underground pool without confirmation of risk factor (possibly because the tile which broke in was a ramp instead of a normal "dig") and put me into a mirthless flooding nightmare wherein all my miners died.

The fortress is back alive and well now after I repeated 3 seasons of construction >_> and I decided to save a bit more often.

The border wall is nearly complete and we are starting to decorate parts of it. My girlfriend is designing a 200x200 mural to be transcribed in rock blocks :o

Point of Interest: Ancestral Tombs

These tombs are hand-carved at the time of death and feature an obsidian door, iron sarcophagus, and silver statue.

The custom of burying the dead in closets in the dining room doesn't extend to Cagemerchant. These dwarves respect money, power, and beauty. - Noble Digger

The HTML5 map viewer is currently in Alpha mode - I'm actively trying to develop new functionality.

There should be many very obvious problems with the viewer; please check the Issues page to notify or comment on the most egregious problems to help me prioritise. The most common will be Loading... with an error in the browser developer tools console. e.g. RangeError: Offset is outside the bounds of the DataView. Feel free to report a problem with a link to the problematic map or point of interest.

Nice fort.
What really amazes me is that you A: have a girlfriend and play on DF and B: that you have a girlfriend who PLAYS on df.

It's possible, there is hope for all of us :)

Find the right girl and give her enough attention in between forts that she'll stick around. Thanks btw~

I'll add a new set of images for this fort, it's progressed 2 more years and looks really nice, but I've been messing with Windlancers today (flooding a goblin tower from the top, mwuauauauaghaafgsg hack cough)

You can download the compressed map file: 2009-02/nobledigger-Cagemerchant-region4-14-3592.fdf-map but you will need the .NET version of SL's DF Map Compressor to convert to the .PNG image format.
