Two waves, but one makes more sense than the other.
One wave happens to be just the white water without anything backing it. It goes through walls but when it hits a channeled space (or my pumps), there's suddenly lots of happy mist!
The second wave looks like it came from my axle, but that's silly... right? RIGHT!?

I've found you have to wall off the beach completely to stop waves. Dig out the ramps along the edge of the cliff and extend the wall by a tile, that might help. Then you can make seawall ramps up over and down back to the ocean front.
