Here we have a Basalt bridge and assloads of pages of rock. Pull the lever and watch the rock go everywhere!... including in the middle of nowhere.
Now that I think about it, this needs more testing:
Can dwarves walk on raised bridges?
Hmm.. well things wouldn't be able to fall and be stuck inside the bridge really, so it sort of behaves like a wall, but dwarves can't exactly walk onto the raised parts either. Someone would need to drop a dwarf on a raised bridge to see what happens, in my opinion the dwarf would be just stuck there.
Awesome vid. It occurred to me that another situation where you have something wall-like with no floor on the level above is a constructed fortification. So you could probably experiment using those with somewhat less trouble.
