Just a simple demonstration of how easy buying food from the caravan becomes, once you have a macro in place. This macro is very simple: [enter], [enter], [down arrow]. By using [ctrl]+[u] to queue up many iterations of the macro in succession, one can buy hundreds of units of food using a tiny fraction of the keystrokes.
For instance, in this video, I used seven keystrokes to purchase 99 stacks of food (495 units), which would have taken 296 keystrokes normally.
Use macros, your fingers and wrists will thank you.
