I had a massive goblin siege (around 80 buggers came from different ends of map), featuring a local leader (elite bowman). When some of them were slaughtered, the rest fleed. Except the leader. He lied on the right end of the map, unconscious, and WITHOUT A LEG. No other wounds, just missing leg. I guess it lopped off immediately as he went in the map. There were no wild animals whatsoever. So: what was that?

Naw, It's a feature, implemented a while ago. I had a liaison missing a leg as well... the first year he came, it took forever to get the meeting completed. The second year he visited, he went bat shit insane even before he reached my fort.
The dude had some nasty demons in his past.
