Few words could express how disappointed I am with my waterfall. My pressure plate was supposed to activate when it hit water level 5, which sends bridges down, crushing the water out of existance.
That worked.
What DIDN'T work, was the bridges were supposed to raise again, which they didn't. Armok hates me.
I may need to have 2 pressure plates, one to activate with a min of 1 and a max of 2. The other would have a min of 5 and a max of 7. I hope this works, because otherwise my automatic water smasher will never be built, and a continous waterfall not keep my dwarves happy forever.
This part works really well. The aquifer provides an endless source of water for a nice cascading indoor waterfall. - ClsfdKidd

You can download the compressed map file:

but you will need the .NET version of
SL's DF Map Compressor
to convert to the .PNG image format.

I never thought about using bridges for water smashing.
Yes, you'll probably need two pressure plates to reset the bridges, tho, I'm not exactly sure how that works.

Don't know if it's changed in the newer version, but I used to not be able to hook two p plates into the same bridge. But smashing water with them is pretty damn clever anyways :)
