I'm still taming that hill out front. It's looking a little smoother, but things are going slow. I've got some nice walls shaping up, and my military are keeping the snotfaced goblins outside.
Goblins do leave behind a dreadful pile of waste behind. Perhaps I shouldn't have trained up Axedwarfs. Maybe Macedwarfs would have been better. As awesome as it is to see "Troll upper right arm" stuck in a random tree, the enormous refuse piles will make my military paradise look like a dunghill. Perhaps I ought to dump everything in a constructed waste bin.
The HTML5 map viewer is currently in Alpha mode - I'm actively trying to develop new functionality.
There should be many very obvious problems with the viewer; please check
the
Issues page to notify or comment on the most egregious problems to help
me prioritise. The most common will be Loading... with an error
in the browser developer tools console. e.g. RangeError: Offset is

You can download the compressed map file:

but you will need the .NET version of
SL's DF Map Compressor
to convert to the .PNG image format.

@willsonns: I'm using the excellent Dortens tileset. I just like the way he made smooth walls and floors look.

This map has inspired me to create a castle on the mountain side!

Heh, "taming the hill", starting to look good. My fort's just at the stable point of being able to build stuff...

That's a great looking castle! I love when we get those maps with a lone spiral in front of them.
