Δ 124. Iron bins
I may be out of wood for barrels (and I'm out of booze as the empty barrels immediately had food stored in them), but I can still build bins out of metal, in this case iron. But making iron bins is slow work, especially as they use 3 bars each, and only one smelter is making bars, part of the time (making coke the rest of the time, like the other smelter does full time - don't want to run out of fuel). The bars in the north-east room are all coke.
The far west room was dug for the magnetite source (iron ore), but made a decent craft overflow storage room. - TroZ
128. Starting Location

The starting location. The other dwarfs are on the slopes, but were 'blinking off' when this was saved obviously - TroZ
Δ 50. 80 Levels Down
Almost 80 levels down, looking for the cave and still haven't found it.
I felt that I might have somehow passed through the caves in a solid area (wall or big pillar) or that the caves don't extend under the ocean. I'm afraid of hitting a deeper cave with nastier stuff in it before hitting the shallow cave.
So I dig off to the north and east (further into the land) and start digging back up toward the surface in hopes to find the cave. It will prove fruitless. - TroZ
