A great new start! This is the second spring of Ironrage. I always love planning out an empire, and DF lets me do just that.
For this fortress I decided to go with less compact and efficient, and more of a sprawling feel. It's also way easier to carve out stone than it is to construct anything.
I modified goblins to start sieging way sooner. Hopefully they come with a million legendarys on the backs of dragons. I WANT WAR.

@willsonns: I'm using the excellent Dortens tileset. I just like the way he made smooth walls and floors look.

That's a great looking castle! I love when we get those maps with a lone spiral in front of them.
