Here's the suspended throne room, viewed from the side. It's made of metal and glass windows, and contains all that royalty could want. - atomfullerene

A currently active vent, showing the pumps which force out magma at high speed - atomfullerene
Δ 145. Inactive Vent
This vent is currently closed. The floodgates are located near the surface, far from the pumps, for two reasons. First, it cuts down on lag time for lava deployment. Second, it provides a nasty surprise for any building destroyers who come poking around. - atomfullerene
Δ 138. Command and Control
This is where the magma controls are located. In the center is a model of the mountain made out of green glass. When a vent is opened, A green glass hatch in the appropriate sector of the model opens, showing red underneath. There's also a fancy aluminum throne so the king can watch the action. - atomfullerene
Δ 136. I hate Roads
The road generator is rather broken in this version. I had an awful looking mess of random pieces of wood wall on the road (good for steel industry though), bridges to nowhere, and redundant masonry. I lost a lot of good dwarves to accidental caveins cleaning up the mess. Now the road is nice and clean and ready for lava. - atomfullerene
Δ 122. Drain Pipe
I drained the volcano tube out through this hole, and many a long year of low-fps labor it was. This allowed me to suspend the throne room in the magma. - atomfullerene
