  His previous abode was the same room as his Tomb. He was pretty happy with that (ecstatic, actually. But then again, his first purchase was a vomit covered narrow sock.)
  
  I built him his very own solid gold room, overlooking the barren landscape and magmafall. He's even got psychedelic gem windows. I should probably give him a cabinet or two. - comradestu

  I had a little trouble getting this to work. For some reason all my other screw pumps that interacted with magma worked just fine when made out of a stone block with wood components. When I tried that here, though, things quickly caught fire. I had to use up all my scavenged Iron to build these pumps. Saviortowers has no native iron, making things slightly more difficult. - comradestu

• ¶ 18. Fortifications
  I tried to model this after a Star Fort, but the angles were way too difficult. The idea is that there's no blind spots, and I think this works pretty well in that regard. It's all obsidian, except for the caps on each point - which are gold. - comradestu

  Figured an extra happy thoughts couldn't hurt. Two sets of four screw pumps cycle 4/7 water, generating comforting mist for the dwarves in the dining hall below - comradestu

  Rather than have my artifact items clogging up bins in the stockpile level, I dug out a room and designated stockpiles to hold top quality items. The Pièce de résistance is "Blockadefats the Lancer of Organization", an Adamantine battle axe.

  It's pretty crowded in here right now. I'm trying to socialize the dwarves - Just about everyone in the fort is a 'Passing Acquaintance". They've only held one party in all of three seasons. I think I overworked them :( - comradestu

  Goblins (and random animals that get caught in Saviortower's cage traps) get dumped through this hatch. Normally there are wall grates blocking the stairs below, and another set on the stairs pictured here blocking anything from leaving. - comradestu

  After hooking up all the bridges to their own individual lever, and a lever per level, I realized that for it to be safe I'd need to block the dwarves path with floodgates before I raised the bridges. The idea of hooking up all those floodgates sort of canned that idea. Now it just looks pretty. - comradestu

  I still haven't had a chance to totally rid the King of all his excess stone, but he doesn't seem to mind.
  The artifact door, floor grate and mechanism more than makes up for it. - comradestu

  I've pretty much cleaned out all the visible veins now. The network was inhabited by tentacle demons, which I took care of with a 1x10 column of copper menacing spikes. I guess it was kind of cheap, but it worked just fine. Plus it helped rid me of all those babbling elves and humans.
  
  That's all been removed now, and melted down for other purposes. - comradestu
