lodging being worked finished up. the troglodytes haven't attacked in a while, but the unicorns have compensated. I've yet to get a sprout in my cave forest, which may be because I'm not using natural floods.

Cool post-chasm fort, big curved rooms always go down well :) Whats the plan with all the aqueducts?

On the upside... loads of Obsidian! Dark stone doors and statues all round!

Woah, what are those crescents? They look dead cool, very colourful. It looks such an 'innocent' entrance to such a deep and detailed fortress.

Towercaps don't sprout more than 130 tiles away from the surface, or some such number.

Zaratustra: thanks. I had a feeling that was the issue. is there any good use of that forest area, now that i've cleared it? maybe a good noble drowning pool? :)
Markavian: they were gonna be circles. I don't recall exactly when i decided to not excavate the crescents, but the first one looked interesting and i really didn't need the whole thing for wood, especially since my forest is non-functional. I may put isolation on hold for a while, and go back to Slantiquity for a duration, thanks to the forest shortcoming.

Hmm.... some of those areas look vaguely familiar. Almost to the exact tile. Am I seeing some inspiration?
