Map Description:

So I took a break from updating this. This is mid-spring of 107, and two years have passed since the last update, and some decent progress has been made. A few projects have been finished and another is starting.

Point of Interest: Orcs

Currently under siege. Right now I've closed the gates, but I'm planning on lowering them in order to trap groups of orcs between my outer walls and the bunker. This lets my soldiers take on more manageable groups of the siege, and makes cleanup way simpler. - Razin

I like the tower cap farm, it has a very cave like feel to it

¶ 17. Orcs

Δ 14. Kitchen
I finally have a fully functioning kitchen area set-up, instead of the temporary one I've been using for years. On the floor below this is the food stockpile and below that is the dining hall. - Razin
Δ 13. Furnished Privileged Housing
The first of the upper class living quarters has been finished and furnished since last year, though it's only enough to house my Founding Seven and a few of my legendary tradesmen. Several more blocks will have to be put up to give them all the comforts they deserve.

To the east, you can see my second, unfurnished, and uninhabited housing structure. At only 45 dwarves, I haven't had a need for it yet. Hopefully immigration will pick up soon. - Razin

Δ 13. Power Plant
For now it only powers a pair of millstones, though hopefully I'll have more use for it soon. Currently provides about 400 power total. - Razin
Δ 12. Burial Ground
Common dwarves and visitors from the caravans are entombed beneath here, one beneath each pillar. After a site is occupied, the pillar is engraved. The graves here are occupied by 3 of my own dwarves, and 5 caravan visitors (I've lost way more visitors then that, but these five were all I was able to recover). Better arrangements will be made for nobles and legendary workers. - Razin
Δ 12. Butchery
Animals are raised (or at least they will be) two levels below this (cut off from everything else to stop them from using too much cpu). Eventually they get hauled up here to be butchered and processed. The large stockpile to the north will house refuse. - Razin
Δ 12. Foundery (in progress)
I know there's a magma pipe somewhere north of here, so I'm preparing the forge area before I go look for it. This will feature an open pool of magma, stockpiles to the west and east, and the entrance to exploratory mining tunnels/sand access to the south of here. - Razin
Δ 12. Grand Dining Hall
While the upper class and the administrator have their own tables or dining areas, most dwarves eat here. It's only about half furnished for now, but will seat 96 once it's fully furnished. The throne on the far-eastern wall is an artifact constructed early in the fort's life (the wall behind it is gold, and the engravings on that gold are masterpieces). Pretty spiffy, actually. - Razin
