Half-Circle Seahold from the Pern novels recreated. I'm aware that it isn't exactly as described in the book, I was just going for the general idea. That's not a natural cave, I dug the whole thing myself and cleaned up the stone. That was Fun. So was getting enough wood on this blighted map. Thread must have fallen recently. Someday we'll have boats and cool caverns, and we can do this for real.
The dock cavern in all it's glory. Make sure to check out the upper levels and the fish processing area. Carving this thing was a work of art. Getting rid of the stone was a work of stamina. I'm particularly proud of my boat sitting at dock. I was going to make more, but it's hard to get wood on a map with no trees and no elves to trade with. - atomfullerene

Notice all the equipment outside. That's from the five or so sieges we had in one year. It was amazing. 160 or so goblins and kobolds so far and only 8 dead military dwarves. Heh heh.

I hope all your dwarves wear sunglasses, because your fortress is shining! 8-)
