Map Description:

My first fortress, 11 years in. I got bored, and also sick of dealing with newbie mistakes like bad workshop/stockpile placements, but instead of abandoning it I've decided to relocate the entire thing to an external castle (production in progress). Will keep playing until razed to the ground.

Δ 17. Waterfall Generator

An automatic waterfall generator - because dwarves love mist! I can assure you the rumors you've heard of a hunter being lost in floods caused by a leaky first attempt are untrue. His bones definitely cannot still be found in the lake below.

Hm? What, I don't see another drainage chute pointing east, hanging directly over the entrance to the fort. I would never think to use an automatic waterfall device in combination with the moat and bridges below as a devious trap for intruders... or mass dwarf genocide device for when things just get too dull.

Though you can't go any higher in this viewer, there is an additional level on top where marksdwarves can fire down from a fortified high tower, much like the one to the right near my outdoor farms. - KenboCalrissian
Δ 15. Castle Cometnet
The residents of Cometnet couldn't settle for a few measly roads to attract the incoming king or queen... we're going all-out and building an entire castle!

There's an ample supply of rocks underground, and auxiliary carpentry/masonry workshops have been set up on the grounds. As more rooms reach completion, operations will gradually move toward this direction. Can't wait to see what happens when goblins attack and the dwarves use the drawbridge (up one level) and flooring as cover when they get the "Dwarves stay indoors" order! - KenboCalrissian
