The emerging fortress of the dark dwarves affectionately known as the Blades of Slaughter.
Things were going fine for the Black Towers. Sure, a few elven thieves had tried to sneak in, but they usually got killed by an onslaught of beak dogs, war trolls and elven slaves.
This time however..
I somehow missed the appearance of the elven raiding party, probably because they appeared at exactly the same time as a caravan. While my attention was elsewhere, they made quite a mess on the bridge between the trading depot, and the main tower. Still, no immediate casualties. Most of the blood might actually be from a dead raider.
One raider fled towards the west wall. A hell hound followed and breathed fire at it. The elf died, but the grass caught on fire. This spread east, burninating many dark dwarves rushing in to grab the goods inside the fire. And then the trade depot caught on fire. Including the human caravan and my expedition leader, mayor and trader (all gathered in the auspicious person of Ablel Ducimtherleth.
I'm thinking about slaughtering all hell hounds in the future. Flaming elves are fun, but this is a little too much of a fun thing. - Rubberduck
