• ¶ 16. Entrance
  This is the entrance to the grand fortress of Amazehalls. Meeting area's to the left, wood and ore stockpiles to the right along with archery ranges, and some traps around the Depot and the entrance. Many a kobold and goblin have fallen victim to these. - Myroc
• Δ 16. Merchant's road
  Due to these series of pillars, walls and moats, the point to the north is the only place wagons can enter if they want to reach my Depot, making it very easy to protect any caravans.
  
  Above is a fortification where my marksdwarves can assault any bandits that approach. - Myroc
• Δ 15. Quarters 1 and Dining hall
  Not legendary, but it provides function. This is where the original founders of my fort lived. The expanded bedrooms can be found a few levels below. - Myroc

  ...is the exact point where i was going to start to search the area for more lignite in the same way as seen in the workshops above and to the left, when i hit this lignite/bituminous coal vein. Lucky indeed. - Myroc
• Δ 14. Workshops
  This is where all of the workshops are, arranged in the same pattern as the bedrooms above and below (and with some more space added below). - Myroc
• Δ 13. Storage
  Where almost everything in the fortress is stored. The exception is bones, skulls and shells, which are now stored in the Hall of Bones at the bottom-most z-level. They were originally stored to the top right, where expanding is now going on in order to move the ore storage from the entrance to here. - Myroc
• Δ 12. Noble housing and tombs
  To the bottom-left lives my founding dwarf with all the noble skills (who is simultaneously the broker, manager, record keeper and captain of the guard). The mayor lives to the bottom-right, and the dungeon master to the top-right. The top left will be tombs for the incoming baron and his/her consort.
  
  There is a minor architectal error with the room to the far left, it was supposed to be one space closer to the central stairs. - Myroc
• Δ 8. Prison
  Incidentally, there hasn't been a single crime in this fortress yet, thanks to the current mayor giving agreeable demands. I made this because i was bored. - Myroc
• Δ The Hall of Bones
  This is where all the bones, skulls and shells go, so it doesn't clutter up my refuse stockpile at the surface, which contains all of the miasma producing items.
  
  I was originally going to dig this out north-west of here, but when i ran into microcline right at the entrance, it dawned on me that all of the hall will be ruined by the blinding stone, so i decided to dig out the opposing side instead.
  
  Half a minute later i run into orthoclase.
