In early spring, a fisherdwarf drowned when he refused to move from the bank while fishing and a flood warning was issued.
Shortly afterwards, a bunch of nobles arrived (Manager, Broker, Sheriff and House Ber Representative) with a shedload of immigrants bringing my total up to 65!
The broker has already mandated the construction of maces... which we are ignoring for the time being.

( 1055 Early Summer to 1055 Early Winter )
Due to the influx of miners, we have started construction of a new project.
Note: I re-created the spare glass workshop to help this because it enables the gathering of sand at twice speed, and means glass production can continue.
Also note: I have 3 jet 1x1 bridges to cover the chasm area. This is just a safety precaution because my dwarves seem to love getting wet.

( 1053 Early Autumn to onwards )
Crop planting has started, and the installation of the green glass floodgates (which look way cooler than regular floodgates) has been finished. Final touches to the walls are being performed by the miner right now. - matryx

Engraved each year by a dedicated historian, these rooms will progress into the mountain as the fortress ages.
1053's showed images of squares, dwarves travelling, dwarves labouring, and several pictures of stars.
1054's showed dwarves talking, walking, travelling and one image of a dwarf withering away.
Also oddly was an image of a dwarf embracing two goblins...?? And the yearly submissive demon image. - matryx

More glass blocks than I expected went into the production of this. - matryx

It seems fitting somehow that the dwarves should be remembered near the history they worked so diligently to create. Alcoves leading off from the History Rooms lead to the tombs. - matryx
