Ceilingact - 303 Early Spring by Phlamethrower

Map Description:

No sign of the orcs yet, but plenty of immigrants. As the fortress grows, the disorganised layout of the first year is gradually being replaced with a more structured one.

Point of Interest: Remains

The first migrant wave was attacked by a pack of ice wolves as they entered the map. One dwarf was lost, the others formed the basis of Ceilingacts military. - Phlamethrower

The HTML5 map viewer is currently in Alpha mode - I'm actively trying to develop new functionality.

There should be many very obvious problems with the viewer; please check the Issues page to notify or comment on the most egregious problems to help me prioritise. The most common will be Loading... with an error in the browser developer tools console. e.g. RangeError: Offset is outside the bounds of the DataView. Feel free to report a problem with a link to the problematic map or point of interest.

Operation GET WELL SOON was a complete success!

By which I mean it failed.

Although it succeeded in generating lots of water and killing a kitten, the water then promptly ran straight down the funnel and out a hole in the bottom of the map.

Well, you learn something new every day.

You managed to make a mini chasm by accident? How freaking cool is that.

Do Dwarves actually freeze if their beds aren't close to magma?

Sealing the fort with magma... ?

Well, it keeps the orcs out.

Everyone died, BTW. A goblin seige turned up just as the last baby died, so the goblins ended up claiming victory.

You can download the compressed map file: 2009-06/phlamethrower-Ceilingact-region3-303-95.fdf-map but you will need the .NET version of SL's DF Map Compressor to convert to the .PNG image format.
