RelicFlickers - 76 Early Spring by Monty

Map Description:

After a lot of construction, it turned out that I'm in dire need for more Siltstone and Mudstone blocks to construct a large tower to house my miner, who is now a permanent invalid after a serious spine injury during mining for said stone to make into blocks.

This is only here so I could melt down about eighty or so anvils. I ought to chuck the remains into my atom smasher, but there are more pressing matters to attend to. - Monty
Δ 17. Escaped Cave Spider

Ah, so that's where that little rotter got to!
It ended up in one of my smelters after I melted down the cage, and I promptly dumped it, though it escaped as I had the atom smasher door open, now I have a ({tame cave spider}). Because of this little fiend, my stray enchanted weapon kept getting stunned, and was killed. Still, it did drop a masterpiece gun. - Monty

As it turns out, the giant cave spiders don't actually attack invaders that come near over the fortifications because they can't path to them since they're chained. Oh well, I put 40 serrated iron axe blades in their place. If anything did try to approach, it'd be swiftly sawn into small chunks to feed my GCS's. - Monty
Δ 15. Mining Invalids
After accidentally channelling out a hollow old magnetite vein, the miner Solon HelpBlockade the Line of Heroes fell and broke his spine and his left lower arm. Spine injuries don't heal, so I've lost a legendary miner and engraver. :(

Though, the woodcutter there has only gone and broken both her lower arms when taking over from the miner. Incidentally, she only managed to channel four tiles before injuring herself. - Monty
