This is my first serious attempt at building a tower for my dwarves to live in, using cast obsidian. It is built in a drained and enlarged magma pipe which would eventually be refilled. Draining of the magma pipe began in late 205, mold construction began sometime 206, casting began during 212, and now we've finished moving bedrooms, but lots of supplies are still in the old fort. I guess I'm really slow.
This is also my first fort played with major modding, including Civilization Forge, Molten Rocks, Orcs, and some of my own plants.
( 217 → 218 )
The lower level is for safe access and ammo storage while marksdwarves shoot from the upper level. Three champion marksdwarves are getting used to the new position, leaving invaders at the old gate as EXP for the less experienced soldiers. They will eventually be ready up here when we tear down the temporary wall surrounding the construction site. Edem, our best marksdwarf, has taken out two giant eagles (one zombie, one skeletal) from the Ring. - NFossil

This is a very nice fort. One criticism though, you misspelled "unfortunately". ;)
