  Idle dwarves go here. Located outdoors to prevent cave adaptation, the courtyard also serves as a breeding ground for dogs and donkeys. - RavingManiac

  Dead bodies are brought here to rot.
  
  Due to the overwhelmingly large number of corpses showing up after the last orc siege, a temporary extra refuse pile was designated to the north, and will remain there until a proper extension to the original refuse pile is built. - RavingManiac

  Sparring provides the military with skill, broken spines. - RavingManiac

  Serves to mill whip vines into whip vine flour. The millstone(currently concealed by a bag) is a legendary artifact.
  
  The fortress's legendary clothier died in the construction of the windmill, felled by a collapsing celing due to careless planning; - RavingManiac

  After the remains of Angelshield's invaders have rotten to the bone, they are brought here to be processed into bolts.
  
  The bolts, in turn, kill more invaders, and the cycle begins anew. - RavingManiac

  Keeps invaders out, dwarves in.
  
  Plans are underway to extend it to 2-storeys, lining it with watchtowers and fortifications. - RavingManiac

  The recent goblin siege was easilly annhilated by my military with zero casualties or injuries(apart from an unlucky fisherdwarf who happened to be caught outside). Compared to the orcs, it seems like the only trouble the goblins pose is my dwarves having to clean up their remains. - RavingManiac

  Supplies enough plump helmets and pigtails to sustain the entire fortress indefinitely, though the dwarves get tired of eating the same old food. - RavingManiac

  A 7-tile wide drawbridge, framed by a massive 6-storey high arch. Note the octagonal towers.

  Magma is piped to the forges though here. A walkway allows access to the magma pumps, and is also very stylish. - RavingManiac

  Conveniently located above the stockpile level, with stairways to allow easy access to raw materials. - RavingManiac

  Using magma pumps to fill the magma channel proved to be significantly faster than just letting the magma flow in by itself.
  
  The pumps use non-magmaproof stone blocks and wooden corkscrews and pipe sections, yet remain intact. - RavingManiac

  The food stockpile is currently overflowing, and the fortress has resorted to dumping excess food into magma. - RavingManiac

  Utilizes a variant of Raynard's fractal design - RavingManiac

  Currently serves only to prevent innocent dwarves from being beaten up due to my mayor's mandates.
  
  Should actual criminals come to be housed here, a solid iron door, iron chains, and fortifications allowing marksdwarves to shoot inwards should make a jailbreak nigh impossible.
  
  To the left is the Captain of the Guard's office. - RavingManiac

  Sarvesh the champion died in the autumn of 250 during an Orc siege, felled by snipers. He was the only casualty of the battle. - RavingManiac

• Δ The catacombs

  The two-storey high catacomb complex is the only place in Angelshield where dwarves may finally find peace. - RavingManiac
