Starting yet another map... I've been creating new worlds/forts a lot lately, every time I get some idea I want to try that won't work in the fort I'm playing at the time.
For this one I intend to (a) see how well the "rapid expansion" starting build from the wiki works, and (b) at some point I'm going to try a social experiment, with some dwarves being confined in inescapable rooms in various size groups, with provisions and crafting materials being dumped in, and refuse and finished items being dumped out.
I really, really like this map, just in terms of the landscape. It's like the tail end of a mountain range. In fact it probably is the tail end of a mountain range. It also has hematite and magnetite, as well as galena, in already-exposed areas.
