Singleaxe - 72 Mid Summer by theorangemage

Map Description:

Inspired by the "One item embark" thread. Rules were that you could only bring one item. I chose a single axe, hence the name.

Here is the loadout:

Sadly this run isn't going exactly as planned. You see, in test runs the nicely wooded areas I embarked to were loaded with deer, groundhog, and fox. All I've seen here so far is two stinkin' alligators. I made a wooden crossbow and bolts from the bones of the two pack animals you are given with the wagon, but they lay unused due to the lack of easily huntable wildlife However, an unexpected bit of luck hit! About five minutes before this snapshot one of my skilled herbalists nabbed a stack of five rope reeds, so I got into the clothing industry.

So it's all wild strawberries, prickle berries, and rope reeds. I had some bloated tubers but cooked and brewed them away due to their seedlessness. I'm keeping some longland grass for milling later, though.

Point of Interest: Main area

( 72 Mid Summer → onwards )

Food crops in the northwest corner, cloth crop in southeast. Meeting area in the clearing southwest of food stockpile. - theorangemage
