Lusterlens - 208 Early Spring by Retales

Map Description:

Dwarven strength prevails!

I managed to get through the tantrum cascade. Migrants have avoided the fort for a few seasons now, but hopefully trading succesfully with the dwarven caravan will make them think more of Lusterlens :P

Quite a lot of my wounded dwarves have healed. I gave all bedridden dwarves the nickname "Wounded" and whenever I saw one of them doing anything else than 'Resting', I knew there had been a miraculous healing. A good way to keep track of your wounded, IMO.

The HTML5 map viewer is currently in Alpha mode - I'm actively trying to develop new functionality.

There should be many very obvious problems with the viewer; please check the Issues page to notify or comment on the most egregious problems to help me prioritise. The most common will be Loading... with an error in the browser developer tools console. e.g. RangeError: Offset is outside the bounds of the DataView. Feel free to report a problem with a link to the problematic map or point of interest.

Wow, this fortress should be epic eventually, assumign you dont die (yet again). How did you get carp in an ocean though? I always embark on oceans but never get anything at all, even on terrifying maps.

It's a freshwater lake. At least most of the carps are in that small pond, maybe all of them. Other fish have killed my dwarves too, or at least made them fall from the smaller bridge (which I've dismantled now)

You can download the compressed map file: 2009-05/retales-Lusterlens-region3-208-125.fdf-map but you will need the .NET version of SL's DF Map Compressor to convert to the .PNG image format.
