Things seem to be calming down, but not through discussion and group hugs. No sir, that would be the elfy way.
Here in Lusterlens we exercise dwarven traditions. If you're upset, throw and punch things. If things still feel bad, start babbling and running around naked, start sulking and stop eating OR go on a rampage. The last option seems to be in fashion here.
Population is now 41, which is the lowest so far. There are a few inevitable deaths (melancholic dwarves), many pretty certain eventual deaths (wounded dwarves) and still some undecided cases (imprisoned and/or tantruming dwarves).
Once the dust settles, Lusterlens will be left with a bunch of low-skilled planters and a bunch of Fortress Guards. Most of the skilled dorves have kicked the bucket or are about to.
The HTML5 map viewer is currently in Alpha mode - I'm actively trying to develop new functionality.
There should be many very obvious problems with the viewer; please check
the
Issues page to notify or comment on the most egregious problems to help
me prioritise. The most common will be Loading... with an error
in the browser developer tools console. e.g. RangeError: Offset is
outside the bounds of the DataView
. Feel free to
report a problem
with a link to the problematic map or point of interest.

You can download the compressed map file:

but you will need the .NET version of
SL's DF Map Compressor
to convert to the .PNG image format.

Wow, this fortress should be epic eventually, assumign you dont die (yet again). How did you get carp in an ocean though? I always embark on oceans but never get anything at all, even on terrifying maps.

It's a freshwater lake. At least most of the carps are in that small pond, maybe all of them. Other fish have killed my dwarves too, or at least made them fall from the smaller bridge (which I've dismantled now)
