Tiny map! The magma pipe doesn't really leave you too much room to build your rooms and such. Should be an interesting fortress. Looking forward to updates =)

Also, why is the wagon rider a cabinet?

I am using a combination of mods and tools to achieve this map. I have used the nano fort tool to decrease my embark size to 1x1. And I have also used the civilization forge mod that greatly increases the number civilizations. Some Civs are hostile and others are traders like the silver zelics (cabinets) you see here. As for future updates this is part of a succession game see here. You can join if you want...

I just checked the "#$%"#$% who killed Olga. It was a chaos dwarf who murdered one of his own, and went to become a guard.

I'm happy that at least it wasn't a random generated baddie, and that Dain managed to kill the bugger in revenge.

*Sniff*
I'm so damn proud of this fortress. We have condensed Boatmurdered into a single embark square. Our engineering projects are tripping over eachother. Our deathtraps cannot function without taking down a couple dwarves. The ground around these lands is littered with ash, decayed weapons and armor and corpses. A tower into she sky begins as stone, then moves onto glass and metals because they are more abundant. Below dwarves move up staircases around a half-filled magma pipe, building structures inside the obsidian case in a mocking tone to the very earth itself. The walls all around them carry the threat of magma and aquifers. There are even rumors of a demon dwelling inside the pit, driving the occupants mad.

Gentlemen, I shall salute you all when this falls.

Those doors in my room aren't made out of platinum, I demand more platinum doors encrusted with platinum! Oh wait, you can't encrust the same the item with the same item, make sapphire or rubies.

SL fixed the bug a few days ago which caused the black area near the magma pipe in the 202 early spring map. New version is DF map compressor 3.3.4 (may 4 2009).

Viewer Controls

g

SHIFT + Key doubles keyboard scroll rate.

Problems?

Do you only see a blank space?

Don't have Flash?
You can download the compressed map file: 2009-04/crash2455-Speargroove-speargrove-207-0.fdf-map but you will need the .NET version of SL's DF Map Compressor to convert to the .PNG image format.
