I'm getting some serious lag with this fort. I'm not sure I can continue much further.
It does look pretty nice, and I'm pleased with the architecture. I still didn't get my Kobold trap, my moats, waterfalls, or the Giant Silk Farm yet. Maybe I'll just finish those up before canning this enterprise.
Maybe next time I'll try an orc mod...
My Cluttered Entrance.
I've got 9,000 or so stones lying around, and a few captured goblins. There's no way I could ever use all the crud lying around. I've started just throwing it into the magma. - ClsfdKidd

There should be enough room for several squads to train here at once.
One nice feature is the balcony overlooking the entrance. That should come in handy for long sieges. - ClsfdKidd

I had a pretty good idea how my tombs were going to look like, and then HOLY CRAP A CAVE RIVER! The seventh pioneering dwarf gets one sweet tomb room. It overlooks a 4-Z waterfall. - ClsfdKidd

Well, I know for sure that I need a tree farm. The Giant Bat incident really was a kick in the seat. I'm thinking that I'll make some sort of indoor room with the natural waterfall in the center, then maybe use pumps to make a really big, curvy, natural-looking cavern and irrigate the tower-caps into it. Some fishing spots would be nice, too.
As far as sealing the hoard with magma, WHOA Markavian, that's an awesome idea. That's makin' my brain go 'round. I'll have to think on all the engineering aspects for a bit. I certainly don't want to burn my artifacts, cause THAT would suck.

WELL! My GCS is precious to me. I may never get another one even after years of playing DF. So I just want to be careful.
BTW, does this mean I could basically let him roam free killing critters and spewing silk? Cause if he's not gonna die, I might do that.

Nice. I like the way all the bedrooms are "lighted" via fortifications.
