My (unfinished) Glass Tower megaproject.
I wanted to do something really big and this certainly was. Infact, probably too big. I lost interest eventually, but I still managed to make a fairly big tower in 10 years.
Constucted of somewhere around 12000 green glass blocks.
The hanging walkway over the pit in the center of the tower (open space down to the laval pit). To the left you can see my little outside farm house and sand collection zone. To the right, the entry and unfinished giant statues.
I wanted the river to run through my fort, but it was at an angle. So after initally walling off the valley, I diverted the river, pumping it into a channel and diverting it around my build site and back into the river below (none of that cheap 'pump it back into itself stuff :P).
When the diversion was finished, I used Tweak to re-cover the water outside the tower with the natural brook surface and built floors over the old brook, which when removed turned it to sand. Just for looks. On the layer below, you can still see parts of the original brook. - HSZeg

Nice fortress! Would be awesome if you could finish it...
maybe use [SPEED:1] to get your dwarves to finish it faster?

That's quite an impressive megaproject.
At least finish the viper-arch, it speaks of unsurpassed coolness.
Also green glass eyes :3
