Two more years have passed, and construction on the first tower continues slowly but surely. Meanwhile I have been forced to dig out a dining room and expand the living quarters. Building a jail was clearly also necessary, after my founding carpenter and smith had both been beaten to death due to a lack of cells.
Population is currently at 175. Glass production seems to have sped up considerably, although it still takes longer than I'd like. I may just add a second forge area with additional glass furnaces.
( 207 Early Winter → onwards )
Construction continues. Still over ten Z-levels to go. - Lord Dullard

Looks like a fantastic site. River is up high, lots of interesting terrain, plenty of trees/vegetation... good find!

I see you have decided to start another fortress, perhaps one to trump Reinhammers? I'll look forward to seeing how this one grows.

You're going to "submerge" that tower? Sounds fun. Looking awesome so far, as usual. Can't wait to see what you have in mind for this place.
