Minefloor - 205 Late Autumn by Katsuun

Map Description:

Since my original second fortress was deleted following a necessary reboot of my computer, I have decided to start a new one, in a different style than I normally do so, and I have to say I like it...

This new style is messy compared to my old one though, but there is plenty of room to clean it up. Still, I think I could have done better, especially when it came to my strip-mining efforts.

Point of Interest: The Core-Work Area

Pictured here is where most of the work that goes on in my fortress occurs. The stairs/channel in the center is my fortresses stairwell, used to access lower levels. To the left, we have the hospital and Trade Depot, separated from my fortress by a microline bridge to keep the "nasties" out. To the right are my farms, both above and underground.

To the south is my food industry, powered by huge quarry bush harvests. Still, I'm not used to feeding 50 dwarves at once, and booze especially always seems to be tight. Hopefully, once I get these workshops straightened out, they will be more efficient.

The space to the north is where practically everything not food related in my fortress is made, and again, I hope to streamline it to be more efficient soon.

Above is my fledgling castle, complete with barracks, block makers, and fishing hole.
