Map Description:

Paddledwork is currently my largest and longest lived fortress. She should be having her twenty year anniversary here in 249. Right now, it's mostly waiting for the magma channel to fill properly.

There's probably a bit more adamantine than what you have currently mined. [---SPOILERS---] They kinda go up and down several z-layers. Don't dig too much though...[---END OF SPOILERS---]

Also, holy cow your map is HUGE!

Yeah, huge map is quite HUGE.
My FPS average around 30 or so at good moments. One of the reasons why I haven't really touched the fort in a couple of months. I do want to get this at least to 20 years before I retire it.

Δ 17. Trade Depot
Currently experiencing some minor airflow problems. The barracks is directly to the south. - Jarod Cain

Δ 16. Future Throne Room & Surviving Founder's Tombs
This area is basically a spillway for the magma channel. The whole gray areas are smoothed and engraved gaboro, while the white areas are alunite. The pit around the causeway will basically be a holding tank for magma when it arrives, and the causeway itself will eventually have a throne and maybe some statues placed on the end.

The four rooms off to the side will be the tombs of the original surviving members with four masterwork bauxite coffins yet to be placed. I plan on most likely placing at least one statue per room and eventually channeling out that single walkway leading to the center of each room. Now that I think about it, note to self, if we do this, build a pillar beneath each coffin location otherwise they'll dump into the magma.

What little Adamantine exists in this fortress. I probably won't tap this for a little while longer. - Jarod Cain
Δ 15. Enterance & Aquarium Trap
This small bridge is set to a pressure plate in the center of the floor immediately after it. This inevitably leaves several invading goblins in the main hallway. But my Fortress Guard of 72 (with 60+ champions of several styles) usually handles things pretty quickly. Thus the miasma in the Trade Depot. - Jarod Cain
