Bridgethunder - 106 Late Spring by InsanityPrelude

Map Description:

My favorite fortress so far, mainly because it's built on several layers of motherfookin' obsidian. Contains magma pipe, cave river, sadly no sand or adamantine but I can live with that.

Looking at the map I used reveal on earlier (in an earlier version- this map was exported from 40d9, reveal wouldn't work unless I used plain 40d) to find the cave river, I do in fact have adamantine. Fun!

There'll be a badass magma waterfall here as soon as I get some bauxite mechanisms. A retractable bauxite bridge below allows it to double as a doomsday device. - InsanityPrelude

No matter how many times I had him tear down the wall and rebuild it, this one mason kept trapping himself. Get on the other side of the wall before you build it or starve, moron! - InsanityPrelude

I added this tunnel to make hauling items in from the farming area quicker. - InsanityPrelude
Δ 21. Tombs
I'm going to need to build a new graveyard. Most of those graves are there because of the inhabitants of the cave river, not goblins... The tombs to the side contain former Champions and mayors, mainly. - InsanityPrelude
Δ 20. Magma reservoir
I thought about directing the magma from the waterfall back to its source, but that would have been disastrous, so I dug this out instead. I'll use it to power an extra forge/smelter on the above level. - InsanityPrelude
Δ 18. Beach of DOOM
I attempted to make a fishing area here, but it got a lot of dorfs slaughtered by the snake-, frog- and olmmen.

And then it turned out there was no fish anyway. - InsanityPrelude
Δ 15. The Farm
I'd have preferred to put this closer to the fortress, but I hadn't found the cave river yet and this is the only area with enough soil. Even the soil's mixed with granite.

I'm using a couple mods that add extra plants. - InsanityPrelude
