Fortress age: 21 years
Fortress size: 183 dwarves
Wealth: 3.2 million
Right now I'm trying to finish off all the half-done projects I started. Not much apart from that.
I built a hospital up above the archery range. So far no dwarves have been injured enough to use it though. Trap construction seems to be an exponential process- the more traps I have, the faster I can build more traps, because the more goblins that get stuck in them, and therefore the more weapons I get with each siege. - chuzzum

Not only do I like the layout of both the fortress proper and the temporary fortress, it gives me an idea. All that empty space in the entrance cave? Imagine that a pit. There would be an underground tower that leads to the fortress proper in the bedrock.
I must try this. Now.

You should mine out around the adamantine, just to get an idea about the layout.
