Hellhole - 308 Mid Winter by Thingy Master

Map Description:

Much more has been added but still incomplete.
Sorry about the graphics and color change.

I've redone the outer wall several times which is why there are random blocks lying around. I'm going to eventually try to fill it with water for no apparent reason.

The HTML5 map viewer is currently in Alpha mode - I'm actively trying to develop new functionality.

There should be many very obvious problems with the viewer; please check the Issues page to notify or comment on the most egregious problems to help me prioritise. The most common will be Loading... with an error in the browser developer tools console. e.g. RangeError: Offset is outside the bounds of the DataView. Feel free to report a problem with a link to the problematic map or point of interest.

Wahh.. impressive. And you have wolves. I don't think I've seen them ingame before.

The Queens bedroom, complete with a Local Leader Goblin Spearmaster and ponds. - Thingy Master
Δ 16. Strip Mine
A strip mining operation in order to find gems so I wouldn't lose a fourth dwarf to a mood that needed raw gems.

Δ 15. Cage Traps
Four cage traps I built to catch my breeding wolves between two ponds that form a natural bottleneck.

Was going to take them down but they occasionally catch siege goblins for my Pit O' Death. - Thingy Master

Food storage, farm plots, kitchen, still, butchery, farmers workshop (dunno why I built that) and legendary dining room are all housed here. - Thingy Master
Δ 15. Hammer Cage
Cage I use to store some 50 or so pet wolves so my CPU doesn't melt. - Thingy Master
Δ 15. Jail
I messed up near the end with some careless mining but otherwise I'm really happy with this. Copper bars and iron chains keep the inmates in locked behind obsidian doors. Beds are next to the chain for sleeping though injured dwarves have been dropped off there on occasion. - Thingy Master

Δ 15. Noble bedrooms.
Unlike most DFers I actually like to keep my nobles alive and happy. Here are their high quality bedrooms.

Notice that the room in the upper-left belongs to the Duke who has a cow totem fetish... Creepy. - Thingy Master
Δ 15. Odd peasant housing.
To the left and right.

I was making these as just a weird housing to mess around with to give the peasants but it turns out obsidian block rooms are expensive even at two squares.

Taken up mainly by my legendary and military dwarves. Only supports about half my population so I'll have to fix that soon. - Thingy Master

The entrance to the pit which I use to support the large demand of stones that my block production needs. - Thingy Master

I used to have all my pet wolves in here but even though they weren't moving their pathfinding was making my computer cry. Now I have a Giant Leopard, a Cougar and a Black bear in here.

I throw all the goblins I accidentally catch in cages in here to find out if animals can get titles... Also to watch the blood fly. - Thingy Master
Δ 15. Royal Offices/Dining rooms.
All nobles various dining room and office wants are filled in this tower with the exception of the Duchess Consort.
(Hers is her room because she doesn't need a nice one and I don't give a crap about her.) - Thingy Master

Until I can think of another way to set this up it will remain all cluttered and ugly. - Thingy Master

Where all the workshops are here (with the exclusion of masons, I need those near the pit.) and above is the incomplete storage tower. - Thingy Master
Δ 14. Noble Crypts
Where the Nobles will eventually be buried. I plan on making everything it them out of their favorite material but I'm running a bit low on the good metals. - Thingy Master
Δ 14. Pile o' Totems
This is where my old bone worker made all of his masterpieces. Been moved down much lower so dwarves don't have to deal with miasma nearly as much. - Thingy Master
Δ 13. Temporary Barracks
My barracks and homeless shelter until I can make the guard towers I have planned and the Inn. - Thingy Master
Δ 12. Shops and Main quarry
Self explanatory really. I moved the meeting area from the barracks to here so my military would have more room to spar. - Thingy Master
Δ 11. Stink Hole
Yes, that is a gigantic refuse pile. The bones of countless goblins and kittens lay here waiting to be turned into totems, decorations for totems, and bolts. Crafts shops are to the left. - Thingy Master
Δ 10. Commoners crypts.
Where all the non-nobles are buried. Going to expand as needed. - Thingy Master
