Map Description:

Year 5 of the succession fortress Goldgifted, the second dwarven museum. This is after the reign of the fourth curator, Malakai Sarrithar. The dungeon master.

Point of Interest: Welcome to Goldgifted!

Don't mind the blood and gore, some goblins were causing trouble and had to be killed outside the entrance to the residential sector. As you can see from this entrance, many things are different here at the Museum this year, including the fact that our brook is finally properly filling, and a small masonry hut has been placed near the portion of the cliffside that was removed during year 2. Δ 39. The Dungeon Master's Room
High uptop the residential sector is the airy, somewhat drafty, suiet of the Dungeon master. Four rooms of exceptional quality, fitted with a number of clear glass windows, copper furniture, and interior doors. Clearly with this displace of extravagance the Baron(ess) will be far more willing to grace Goldgifted with her presence.

Yes, the statues are Platinum. Malakai made them herself. - Jamini
Δ 18. The Residential Sector
Situated above Fox-Of-Doom's Residential block are rooms that any commoner will be able to afford and LOVE when the economy kicks in. Cheap, affordable, and holding the basic needs for any dwarf, this plan is easy to replicate for an indefinite number of levels.

Clear glass windows at the end of every hall light the whole building up with a natural, radiant glow that scares away cave adaption like the plague. - Jamini
Δ 17. The New Archery Range
While Tekkud and his marksdwarves had a target to practice on near the barracks, I found that it lacked... well it seemed a little incomplete.

This area was previously the highest level of the residential sector. The middle four rooms have been rennovated and remodeled into a full archery course with a total of 20 targets made out of Alunite Blocks. The old target is still around, should Tekkud ever get noslogic. - Jamini
Δ 15. The Forge
Not much to say here. Mostly I simply expanded on the existing design for the Forge area, adding a number of Magma Glass Furnaces, Smelters, and a second Forge.

This area has seen a considerable amount of business this year. - Jamini
Δ 15. The Tower Cap Farm
So long as an area is dark, muddy, or has soil tower caps will grow. To speed this process up I've had our miner dig out a large swath of the soil in this area for our mushroom farm.

In around three years we should start harvesting a good amount of wood far more safely than we are currently. - Jamini

Δ 14. Food storage
When I saw this area I was really hard-pressed to think of what could go here. Granted, I already knew I was going to move the ugly mess of the workshops in here, but what was going to take its place?

Fortunatly, my question was solved for me when I realized that our plant stockpile was overflowing. This area is now the overflow stockpile, where any extra food of any sort is placed until we have room in a dedicated stockpile. - Jamini
Δ 14. Speaking of Food
When the year started there was hardly a drink of booze in all of Goldgifted, and our food was far below 200!

One of my first orders of business was to fix our stockpile and production problems... as we as getting seeds out of bags and into the ground.

For our farm plots, they are as follows:

Top left - Sweet pods and cave wheat.
Middle - Pig tails and Quarry bushes
Bottom - Plump helmets (only during the winter)
Right - Dimple cups (autumn)

Featured in the top of this POI you can also see our new workshop area. The walls between cut down on pathfinding, and the area as a whole looks much neater now. Interestingly enough, most of the year was spent hauling Fox's blocks out of the reconstructed Masonry Workshop and onto the Residential Tower. - Jamini
Δ 13. The Artifact Display
Dresor made a very beutiful room on this level. However, the acts of previous (and the current) curators have caused some problems with his original intention for this area to be a lobby for different wings of the museum.

Therefore I have converted it into an artifact display. Behind windows made of sunstones the four craft-type artifacts of Goldgifted sit in every corner, amidst some of the best stone statues in the entire fortresss (all of them are suprerior quality or better). It's truly a sight to behold. - Jamini
Δ 12. The Races of the World Exhibit
Directly below the artifact room is an exhibit dedicated to showcasing the four main sentient races of the world: Men, Elves, Goblins, and Dwarves. The exhibit is approximatly 90% done, only awaiting two of each humans and elves (preferrably a male-female pair).

It should be noted to all visitors to the museum that all creatures kept in confinement within the museum are given the best treatment available for their stay. The two dwarves in the exhibit are provided with any sort of booze or food outside of their standard fare when the desire it VIA a chute dump. This also include clothing.

Obviously, all of the blue is clear glass.

It should also be noted that farmers can deface engraved floors. ^^ - Jamini
Δ 11. The Aquarium
Sadly, there were no fish in the brook large enough to capture VIA cage traps. However, a large variety of smaller fish are available for your viewing pleasure on this level.

... When did a rock get in the tank? - Jamini
Δ 7. Microline
The only piece of dug at Goldgifted to date. Strangely enough, it ended up being the primary component of one of our artifacts. - Jamini
