Slow times, the humans sent a diplomat, we're officially at peace now. A combination of noticing dwarves complaining to my manager about a lack of work and the fact that I started on a hall of justice prompted me to finally assign a captain of the guard, as well as a full set of fortress and royal guards. As they began wrestling each other in my barracks, I finally got some copper warhammers made, meaning it was time for my champions to break in the new guards. No crippling injuries as of yet, I think the newbies managed to get enough wrestling in beforehand to be able to avoid the unskilled weaponblows.
In an effort to keep clear lines of fire around my fort, I've clearcut everything within 40 tiles of my moat, and am steadily having my dorfs make dirt roads to slow down tree regrowth. - NEO|Phyte
